An Extenics-Based Scheduled Configuration Methodology for Low-Carbon Product Design in Consideration of Contradictory Problem Solving

Low-carbon product design involves a redesign process that requires not only structural module modification, but more importantly, generating innovative principles to solve contradictions. Such contradictions include when current conditions cannot satisfy requirements or there are antithetical goals. On the other hand, configuration tasks in reconfiguration interdependent, which well-scheduled arrangement reduce feedback information. This study proposes an effective methodology for low-carbon design. Firstly, and parameters designated through quality characteristics, directed network along with associated values of transformed into structure matrix construct information flow diagram. Then, Extenics-based problem-solving model is presented address contradictions: incompatibility problems clarified formulated basic-element model; extensible conjugate analysis tools used identify problematic structures provide feasible measures; Gantt chart measures execution based on diagram constructed generate robust schemes strategy models. The applied vacuum pump design, results show it effectively solves schemes, comparative verifies performance Extenics.
